Honing Machine Can Finish Hone a Tapered Bore
Superior Honing Equipment, Inc., is now marketing it Model 3VC-24 Vertical Cone Hone, the industry's first machine having the capability to finish hone a tapered bore. Jack Harmount, President for Superior Honing Equipment, says one of the questions often asked of honing engineer is, "Can you hone a tapered bore?" Up until now the standard answer has been, "We try not to!" Now, with the introduction of Model 3VC-24, the standard answer is likely to be, "We can do that!"
